Thomas Joseph Lappe

Thomas Joseph Lappe, 84, of Perryville, Missouri passed away Sunday, March 8, 2026 at his residence.

He was born February 20, 1942 in Cape Girardeau, MO to Sylvester and Irma (Seyer) Lappe.

Tom and Sharon Welter were married May 4, 1963 in Kelso, MO. She survives him in Perryville.

He was a truck driver and a member of St. Maurus Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus #12934.

Tom enjoyed raising cattle, hunting and fishing.

Survivors include two sons, Tom (Pam) Lappe, Tim (Michelle) Lappe; two daughters, Tammy (Rick) Ostendorf, Tina (Mike) Schaefer; two sisters, Mary Emmenderfer, Judy (Mike) Burger; ten grandchildren, Whitney (Trey) Simmons, Lindsey (Tyler) Clubb, Cortney (Jason) Mercer, Tyler Lappe, Kodi (Lauren) Lappe, Amanda (Brett) Thomas, Kolton Schaefer, Kyle (Jewlia) Lappe, Kameron (Marisa) Schaefer, Kayli Lappe; thirteen great-grandchildren, Payton, Rylan, Greyson, Larsyn, Brekyn, Lizah, Noah, Kembree, Koburn, Emberlynn, Colt, Piper, and one of the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Gary Emmenderfer.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, March 13, 2026 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville and will continue from 8:00 am to 9:15 am on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at the funeral home.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am Saturday, March 14, 2026 at St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle with Rev. Michael Benz and Deacon Bryan Burger (nephew) officiating.

Burial will be at St. Maurus Catholic Cemetery in Biehle.

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, St. Augustine Catholic School in Kelso, MO or St. Paul Lutheran School in Jackson, MO.
