Tennessee woman hurt in I-55 crash

JEFFERSON CITY – A 22-year-old woman from Mumford, Tenn. received minor injuries in a traffic crash Wednesday night on I-55 in Perry County.

 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the woman was the unrestrained driver of a 2014 Nissan Altima which went out of control on the wet road surface, skidded off the right side of the roadway and struck a rock bluff.

 

She was taken to Mercy Hospital Perry by a Perry County ambulance.

 

The crash happened about 8:40 p.m. at the 132.6 mile marker.

 

The Nissan was a total loss and was towed by Perry County Towing.
