A celebration of life will be held at a future date for 53-year-old Tammy J. Milligan of Chester, Illinois, who passed away at 2:35 a.m., Friday, June 6, 2025 at her residence.
She was born July 24, 1961 in Chester, Illinois, a daughter of Clifford and Betty (nee Murray) Wingerter.
Tammy married Clinton Milligan on September 15, 1984; he preceded her in death on April 29, 2016.
She is survived by three children: Kenneth Milligan of Chester, Ill., Kelly (Shawn) Kueker of Perryville, Mo. and Emily Milligan of Percy, Ill.; three siblings: Keith (Debbie) Wingerter of Chester, Ill., Cindy Grah of Sparta, Ill. and Debbie (Randy) Eggemeyer Ellis Grove, Ill.; six grandchildren: Lyndsey (William), Seth, Aleena (Anthony), Macy, Kinlee and Kelce and one great grandson: Stiles.
She was also preceded in death by: a brother: Mike Wingerter and a brother-in-law: Mike Grah.
She had worked at Chester Walmart in the jewelry department for several years before retiring as the personnel manager.
Tammy was of Lutheran Faith. She enjoyed reading and loved to spend time with her grandchildren.
It was Tammy’s wish to be cremated. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made in Tammy’s honor to the family and are being accepted at Pechacek Funeral Home in Chester.
