Ste. Genevieve’s 4th Friday Art Walk set for July 25

STE. GENEVIEVE – Historic Ste. Genevieve’s 4th Friday Art Walk will take place July 25 with 9 art galleries on the walk route. The Walk takes place from 6pm to 9pm in the town’s downtown district.

 

On Third Street near Market ASL Pewter will be celebrating “Christmas in July,” featuring “charming and whimsical pewter and specials and sales.”

 

In the same area Silver Sycamore Gallery owners are inviting visitors to “share wine, treats, good conversation and a chance to browse through the gallery’s wonderful array of artwork, where there’s always something new to enjoy.

 

 

The Sainte Genevieve Art Guild says it will “proudly present” a second public art sculpture on the courthouse grounds…a pair of ceramic totems recently installed in the front gardens of the Art Center. Artist Kevin Ord (pictured above with his totem) will be on hand from 6pm to 8pm to talk about his artistic process in creating the totems. The Guild’s new member exhibit will be on display inside the building located on Merchant Street.

 

East on Market La Petite Fleur will feature “the varied work of four artists on display for your viewing pleasure,” as well as some vintage resale items featuring fleur de lis.

 

In the Little Bohemia neighborhood on N. Main Music Art Love will have free live music by Ron Allen. The work of featured artists Candy Terrell and Bunny will be on display, along with ‘Jewelry by Jeanette.’

 

E•KLeK•Tix Gallery will show work by gallery owner and resident artist Jean Rissover along with a collection of paintings by husband-and-wife team Kathy and Steve Hicks. Plus check out the gallery’s “other interesting things” and enjoy complimentary wine or iced tea and recorded classic jazz.

 

Sam Conlon’s fascinating metal art will be on display at Only Child Originals and Rust along with other unique high-quality crafts.

 

The town’s newest art space, Two Rivers Gallery, will feature its collection of works by well-known painter Brian Haynes, recognized as a leader in the art world’s New Regionalism movement. Artist Lavetta Rhinehardt, widow of Charles Rhinehardt who was among the most famous contemporary Regionalists, will host the event. 

 

Most Art Walk activities are free and open to everyone.
