JEFFERSON CITY – A 49-year-old Ste. Genevieve woman was hurt in a traffic crash on Highway 67 in Madison County, Mo. Sunday afternoon.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the woman was taken to Madison Medical Center by ambulance.
A second person was injured in the crash, a 17-year-old girl from Fredericktown. She also had minor injuries and was also taken to Madison Medical Center by ambulance.
The MSHP report states the crash happened when an eastbound 2015 Nissan failed to yield at the intersection of Highway 67 and Cherokee Pass and was struck by a 2013 Dodge Challenger driven by the Ste. Genevieve woman.
The driver of the Nissan, a 39-year-old Fredericktown woman, but a passenger in her car, had minor injuries.
The crash happened about 4:05 p.m. Sunday. Everyone was buckled up.
Both vehicles had extensive damage and were towed by D&D Towing.
