Deputy Mike Barton retired after 35 years of dedicated and honorable service to the citizens of Ste. Genevieve County.
Deputy Barton began his career with the Ste. Genevieve Police Department before coming to the Sheriff’s Office on February 1, 1994, serving as a Deputy in the Jail Division.
He later transferred to the Road Patrol Division, where he served as a Patrol Deputy and Supervisor before taking on his most recent assignment as the Sheriff’s Office Animal Control Officer, a position he has proudly held for nearly 20 years.
For more than three decades, Deputy Barton has answered the call, served his community, and dedicated a significant part of his life to this profession. His years of service, loyalty, and commitment will forever be part of the history of the Ste. Genevieve County Sheriff’s Office.
