STE. GENEVIEVE – The Ste. Genevieve Board of Aldermen met Thursday, September 11th.
Aldermen Amie Dobbs was absent.
The Consent agenda was approved. It included:
A liquor license for The Old Brick Restaurant, LLC., 90 S. Third Street.
A street closure for the SEMO F100 event April 24th and 25th 2026. Progress Parkway will be closed from the entrance to the sports complex to the entrance of the Challenger Field.
A street closure for the 5K Beer Run fundraiser Saturday, September 13th. Merchant and Main Streets will be closed starting at 9 a.m.
Resolution 2025-44, authorizing certain city officials to conduct banking and financial business for the city of Ste. Genevieve.
Resolution 2025-45, authorizing the interim city administrator to sign an amendment to the agreement with Clover modifying the existing merchant processing agreement.
Resolution 2025-46, approving the purchase of bulk salt at $97.25 a ton for deicing was removed for discussion and approved later.
A public hearing was held on the property tax rates proposed to be set by the city.

Resolution 2025-43, appointing Theresa Byers to the Ste. Genevieve Housing Authority was approved.
Bill No. 4684, levying a tax on the residents for the year 2025. First Reading passed on voice vote. Second reading was approved on a recorded vote of 7 yes, 0 no, 1 absent.
Bill No. 4685, a memorandum of agreement with Alliance Water Resources was given first round approval on a voice vote.
Bill No. 4686, a budget amendment, was given first round approval on a voice vote.
Bill No. 4687, adopting the annual city budget was given first round approval on a voice vote.
Bill No. 4688, an agreement with the Ste. Genevieve Fire Protection District to lease and transfer certain assets of the city of Ste. Genevieve to the district was given first round approval on a voice vote.
The regular meeting was followed by a work session.
The aldermen were scheduled to discuss the following items:
- Request for Handicapped Parking – Merchant Street
- Additional Stop signs
- Streets for 2026 Prop S repairs
