STE. GENEVIEVE — Hot or not, Ste. Genevieve’s monthly 4th Friday Art Walk is always cool…and there are always some surprises.
This August 22 the art walk locations will include these galleries:
In the Little Bohemia neighborhood on North Main Street Music Art Love will offer live music by Rocky Martin Music, art by Brenda Thompson, and jewelry by Jeanette Wilson.
Paintings by J Rissover will be on display across the street at E•KLeK•TiX, where visitors will find refreshments and a recorded collection of music from the 50s, 60s and 70s.
At Rust and Only Child Originals Sam Conlon’s resin jewelry and acrylic pour art plus a variety of artisan crafts will be featured.
Work by well-known Regionalist painter Bryan Haynes will be displayed at Two Rivers Gallery. (Haynes will be featured at a special event at Audubon’s restaurant on Saturday.)
La Petite Fleur on Market Street between Main and Second is featuring work by artists Angie Dalton, Connie Klein, Sandy Muzzy and Jeanne Bearden
In the center of town on the Courthouse Square Silver Sycamore Gallery is hosting Janice Raiteri, local artist and gallery curator, for an evening of “creative celebration.” Raiteri’s works feature her personal style of inks and watery acrylics and have been shown in galleries around the country. The gallery is located at Third and Market.
Just around the corner on Third Street an amazing display of unique handmade pewter pieces will be on display at ASL Pewter, along with an opportunity to meet master craftsman Tom Hooper.
On Merchant Street, on the other side of the Square, the Sainte Genevieve Art Guild’s member exhibit boasts more than 100 works including various media and small giftables.
The 4th Friday Art Walk begins at 6pm and ends at 9pm. It is open to everyone; most activities are free.
