STE. GENEVIEVE — In January, Missouri Foundation for Health announced the addition of four new members to its Board of Directors, one of whom is Ste. Genevieve County Engagement Specialist Estrella Carmona.
Carmona specializes in Nutrition and Health Education at University of Missouri Extension in Ste. Genevieve.
In this role, she serves as a primary representative of the University of Missouri and as the administrative leader of the Ste. Genevieve County Extension Office. She promotes the well-being of individuals, families, and communities with special attention for the needs of vulnerable populations.
As a member of the Board of Directors, Estrella plays an instrumental role in the Foundation’s work. Missouri Foundation for Health is a resource for the region, working with communities and nonprofits to generate and accelerate positive changes in health.
As a catalyst for change, the Foundation improves the health of Missourians through partnership, experience, knowledge, and funding.
“I am excited to kick off 2022 with our Directors, all of whom are passionate about achieving health equity in Missouri,” said Dr. Dwayne Proctor, president and CEO of MFH. “We want to make significant strides forward and the diversity of our Board is key to seeing that happen. We welcome our new Board members and look forward to their governance leadership.”
