Shon Allen Blair

December 4, 1966 – June 4, 2026

Shon Allen Blair passed away on June 4, 2026 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO, leaving behind a family and circle of friends who loved him deeply and will miss him dearly. Born on December 4, 1966, Shon lived a life marked by inner strife along with warmth, humor, and a spirit that was as ever changing as the water he loved so much.

Shon found peace and joy near the water. In his younger years, he loved the ocean and surfing, drawn to the energy and freedom of the waves. As he grew older, that love continued in quieter ways, spending long hours fishing and enjoying the calm and solitude it brought him. Water was more than a pastime to Shon; it was part of who he was.

He will be remembered for his quick wit and sharp tongue, traits that often brought laughter, honesty, and unforgettable moments to those around him. Beneath that strong personality was a man deeply loved by his family and friends. Even when he tried to keep them at arms length, they refused to give up on him.

Shon is survived by his parents, Stan and Linda Blair; his younger sister, Angel Stevens (Angela Blair); his younger brother, Kevin Blair; his son, Joshua Dowden (wife TeJay); and his grandchildren, Parker, JoAnn, and Caleb. He is mourned by all who knew and loved him.

His memory will live on in the stories shared, the laughter he inspired, and the love he leaves behind.
