Sherry Sue Clifton, 72, of Perryville, Missouri passed away Monday, February 2, 2026 at Mercy Jefferson Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
She was born December 28, 1953 in Perry County, MO to Russell and Rose (Grabe) Brown.
Sherry and Dale Clifton were married August 4, 1973 at St. James Catholic Church in Crosstown, MO.
Sherry worked as a tax preparer/bookkeeper for many years.
She enjoyed crocheting, shopping, canning, making home remedies and an unexplainable love for frogs. Sherry loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.
She was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Crosstown.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Toby (Susan) Clifton, Joshua (Kristin) Clifton; brother, Scott (Jan) Brown; father-in-law, Burton Clifton, Jr. and seven grandchildren, Gabrielle Clifton, Isaac Watring, Reece Clifton, Kade Watring, Norah Clifton, Finn Clifton, Brady Clifton and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and mother-in-law, Mary Ann Clifton.
A private ceremony will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be given to Spina Bifida of Greater St. Louis or St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
