SGMS students participate in annual canned food drive

STE. GENEVIEVE – Ste. Genevieve Middle School students once again showed their generosity during the school’s annual canned food drive, sponsored by the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) and SGMS Student Council.

This year’s drive supported the local St. Vincent de Paul and community families, with students donating more than 1,000 food items to help stock the pantry’s shelves. The event also served as a friendly advisory competition. Mrs. Becky Keim’s advisory took first place with 234 cans, earning a donut party, while Mrs. Ashley Mertzlufft’s advisory followed closely behind with 158 cans.

NJHS and Student Council members thanked all who contributed, noting that the annual drive continues to highlight the caring spirit of the SGMS community.
