STE. GENEVIEVE – The Ste. Genevieve High School golf team participated in two events last week.
On April 14th the team participated in a tri match with Arcadia Valley and Fredericktown.
Coach Ryan Mueller reported Ste. Genevieve turned in a strong performance in a tight three-team field, finishing second overall with a team score of 175 (+31), just three strokes behind Fredericktown (172), AV (187).
Individually, Chase Yamnitz led the way for Ste. Genevieve with a 42 (+6), earning a top-five finish and setting the tone. Luke Ferranto and Madden Wolk each followed with solid rounds of 44 (+8), giving the Dragons multiple low scores near the top of the leaderboard.
Mason Trollinger added a 45 (+9), and Nate Basler rounded out the team scoring with a 46 (+10).

On April 15th Ste. Genevieve hosted its 16th Annual Dragon Invitational.
Coach Mueller reported Ste. Genevieve battled through a large and competitive field to finish tied for 13th with a team score of 354 (+66), matching Perryville and staying within striking distance of teams.
Individually, Coach Mueller said Luke Ferranto led the way for the Dragons with an impressive 82 (+10), setting the pace and delivering one of the strongest rounds of the day for Ste. Genevieve. Chase Yamnitz followed with a 90 (+18), while Nate Basler and Madden Wolk each added 91 (+19), providing consistency in the middle of the lineup. Mason Trollinger rounded out the scoring with a 95 (+23).
