STE. GENEVIEVE – Ste. Genevieve High School French 4 students in Mme. Bre Uzzell’s class explored the Maghreb region of French-speaking Northern Africa this week, concluding their study with an authentic Moroccan tea ceremony.
Students learned about the cultural significance of the ceremony, including the type of tea traditionally used, and watched a video filmed at a Moroccan restaurant. To bring the lesson to life, they then participated in a tea ceremony of their own, complete with pastries served alongside their Moroccan tea.
Pictured are students from Mme. Uzzell’s French 4 class, their pastry boxes, and the ornate Moroccan tea glasses used during the activity.
