Ruth A. Weinkein, 88, of Perryville, MO passed away Monday, March 30, 2026 at Independence Care Center in Perryville.
She was born April 17, 1937 in Perryville, MO to Herbert and O’Linda (Brown) Weinkein.
Ruth retired from PCSD No. 32 as a custodian.
She was a member of the Gardening Club, Military Museum and the Historical Society.
Ruth enjoyed music, scrapbooking and being outdoors. She also loved her pets.
She was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include three sisters, Virginia “Ginny” (Glen) Summers, June Stortz, and Susan Layton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, James Weinkein; two sisters, Doris Hoernig and Norma Weinkein.
Visitation will be from 8:00 am to 10:00 am Monday, April 6, 2026 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville.
Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am Monday, April 6, 2026 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville with Deacon John Darin officiating.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Highland.
Memorial contributions may be given to Alzheimer’s Association or Humane Society in Cape Girardeau.
