Robert ‘Bobby’ John Behrle

Robert “Bobby” John Behrle, 54, of Perryville, MO, peacefully passed away on June 19, 2026, at Ste. Genevieve Care Center in Ste. Genevieve, MO.

Bobby was born on December 12, 1971, in Perryville, MO, son of Herbert J. and Angeline (nee Schwent) Behrle. He was baptized at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Perryville, MO.

Bobby attended Parkview State School in Cape Girardeau and graduated from Perryville High School in 1990.

For 19 years, Bobby was employed at McDonald’s and nicknamed “Perryville’s No. 1 Fry Guy” by his brother-in-law. He later worked in Environmental Services at Perryville Memorial Hospital and United Enterprises in Perryville.

Bobby participated in Special Olympics, bowling, basketball, Challenger Baseball, and attended Camp Wonderland. He also enjoyed fishing with his mother and his friends, Matt Bachmann and family. Bobby, and his dance partner, Jenny Wood, attended the Pujols Family Foundation Autumn Prom and the Tim Tebow Night to Shine.

Bobby received residential services and much love from Ste. Genevieve Group Home. As a child, he attended My Camp Day Activity Center in Frohna, MO.

Bobby had a way of charming every one he met with a smile. He enjoyed practicing his writing skills and coloring. Bobby was a “business man” at heart. His desk and filing cabinet were well stocked with office supplies and a collection of business cards.

He was the best dancer in the family and never too shy to show off his moves or ask a pretty girl to dance.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, John Joseph Behrle; and two brothers-in-law, Larry Hunt, and Larry Deneke.

He is survived by his three “favorite” sisters; Diana Deneke of Whitewater, MO, Patricia “Patty” Hunt of Canton, GA, and Mary (David) McDowell of Crystal City, MO. He was the beloved uncle of Jeff (Karyn) Hunt, Matt (Elmira) Hunt, Adam (Sandra) Hunt, Sarah (Lee) Maness, Wesley Hunt, Nathan Deneke, Josh (Jessica) Deneke, Zach (Ashley) Deneke, Garrett (Lauren) McDowell, and Sean (Alicia) McDowell, and great uncle to seven great nephews and five great nieces.

Visitation will be held at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville, MO from 4:30 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, June 26, 2026 and from 8:00 am to 9:30 am on Saturday, June 27, 2026 with Rosary prayed at 8:30 am at Ford & Young Funeral Home. Funeral mass at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Perryville, MO will be on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at 10:00 am with Rev. Joe Geders C.M. officiating, burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville, MO.

The family expresses its heartfelt gratitude to all who provided care and love for Bobby throughout his lifetime. Memorial donations may be made to the Ste. Genevieve Group Home, the Pujols Family Foundation, or other organizations supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
