Ninety-four-year-old Robert “Bob” Leroy Draves of Rockwood, Illinois, passed away at 12:25 am, Thursday, December 25, 2025, at his residence.
He was born August 8, 1941 in Chester, Ill. to the late Edward F. and Anna (nee Gray) Draves.
Bob married Sharon White on February 18, 1961, at St. John Lutheran Church in Chester, Illinois; she survives in Rockwood, Ill.
He is also survived by his children: Robert (Annette) Draves of Rockwood, IL and Scott (Sherry) Draves of Ellis Grove, IL; three grandchildren: Samantha (Mason) Yankey, Rachel Ann Draves and Randy (Samantha) Draves; six great grandchildren: Hailey Yankey, Gwenivere Yankey, Connor Draves, Maci Draves, Skylar Draves, and Liam Draves; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a son: Robert Patrick Draves; two brothers, Arnold G. Draves and Edward Donald Draves; and two sisters: Aileen Clasen and Glee Knob.
Bob had worked as a union carpenter for 44 years and retired in 2004.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in Chester, Illinois, and a past member of the Elks Lodge No. 1629 in Chester and the Jaycees.
It was Bob’s wish to be cremated.
