Valle Catholic volleyball plays in Jackson Tournament
STE. GENEVIEVE – Valle Catholic played in the Jackson Tournament Friday.
Here are the results of pool play:
Valle defeated Advance 25-14 and 25-22
Valle defeated Nerinx Hall 25-19, 25-16
Valle lost to Lindbergh 21-25, 15-25
Valle lost to Jackson 18-25, 20-25
Valle finished tied for second with Lindbergh and Nerinx Hall (all with 2-2 records) in the pool. Lindbergh received the 2nd ranking in the pool based on point differential, Valle received the 3rd ranking, and Nerinx Hall the 4th ranking. Jackson was 1st and Advance was 5th in the pool.
There was no bracket play in this tournament.
Simply, the 1st place team out of Pool A played the 1st place team out of Pool B to determine the champion, the 2nd place team out of Pool A played the 2nd place team out of Pool B to determine 3rd place, etc.
In the 1st place match, Jackson defeated Incarnate Word Academy.
In the 3rd place match, Kirkwood defeated Lindbergh.
In the 5th place match, Valle Catholic defeated Winona 25-23, 16-25, 26-24.
In the 7th place match, Nerinx Hall defeated Saxony Lutheran.
In the 9th place match, Advance defeated Park Hills Central.
SGHS boys’ cross country finishes second at MAAA Conference meet
STE. GENEVIEVE – Congratulations to the SGHS boys cross country team for their 2nd place finish at the MAAA Conference Meet!
All-Conference Runners include: Laurie Faulkner-3rd, Finn McClard-5th, Gavin Zerwig-7th, Garrett Gallup-13th, Ashlyn Wezner-14th. Way to go!
SGHS has second seed in Class 3 District 1 volleyball tourney
STE. GENEVIEVE – The Class 3 District 2 Volleyball seeds are as follows. The tournament begins on Tuesday the 21st.

SGMS volleyball game at Caledonia today will be eighth grade only
STE. GENEVIEVE – The Ste. Genevieve Middle School volleyball game at Caledonia today will be 8th grade only, still at 4:00, due to low numbers for Caledonia’s 7th grade team.
SGHS volleyball has No. 2 seed in Class 3 District 2 Tourney
STE. GENEVIEVE – SGHS Volleyball received the #2 seed in the Class 3 District 2 seed meeting and will play on Thursday the 23rd at 6:30.
The conference seed meeting is tonight.
That will determine who and where we play for the conference tournament next week.

STE. GENEVIEVE – SGHS Varsity Volleyball gets it done on Senior Night with a straight-set victory over the Rebels of Park Hills Central! Scores were 25-21, 25-17, and 25-7.
