Rebecca Rose (Forchee) Pecaut was called to her heavenly home on Saturday, August 22, 2026 after a courageous battle with a brain tumor and Neurofibromatosis (NF1.) She was born on September 20, 1986 in St. Louis, MO to Jerry and Phyllis (Cawley) Forchee. Becca was married to Curt Pecaut on October 4, 2014 at Christ the Savior Church in Brewer. Becca was a woman who never met a stranger. She had a way of making people feel welcome, cared for, and loved, often without even realizing the impact she was having. She was creative, crafty, generous, and the kind of person who was always willing to lend a hand or help someone in need. When she met Curt, she found the love of her life. She didn’t just become his wife, she became part of a family that included Curt’s daughters, McKayla and McKenzie. Together they created a beautiful life full of joy and happiness. She stepped into the role as stepmom with ease and a heart full of love and support. She loved sharing her home with others and creating a welcoming space. Becca enjoyed her job at Mercy Hospital and took pride in helping others. She dedicated her time, talent, and treasure to helping those around her.
Just when their hearts couldn’t get any fuller, Curt and Becca welcomed Isabella Rose. Becoming a mother was one of Becca’s greatest joys. The love she has for her family is deep and unconditional. She treasured being a mom, and there is no doubt that McKayla, McKenzie, and Isabella will carry that love with them always.
Becca gave so much of herself to the people that she loved. She was the person you could call, the person who would always help, the person who never hesitated to take charge. She left little pieces of her love everywhere she went. Her time with us was not nearly enough, but the life she lived was full of love. We will fondly remember her kindness and devotion to her family and friends. She also enjoyed sharing her NF1 diagnosis with others and helping educate those around her.
Survivors include her husband, Curt, her children McKayla, McKenzie, and Isabella all of Perryville, MO. Survivors also include her mother, Phyllis Forchee, brother Matt (Shiela) Forchee, and sisters, Andrea (John) Bonsanti, Angela Forchee and Veronica (Ben) Pikul, her father-in-law, Steve Wengert; and father and mother-in-law, Tim and Terri Pecaut. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, godchildren, friends, and family who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry; her brother, Thomas Forchee; sister, Melissa Haynes; and her mother-in-law, Jackie Wengert.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Ford & Young Funeral Home and will continue from 7:00 -9:15 am on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at the funeral home.
Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the Christ the Savior Church in Brewer with Rev. Joe Geders C.M. officiating.
Burial will be at Christ the Savior Catholic Cemetery in Brewer.
Memorial contributions may be given to Journey Hospice or The Jackie Wengert Memorial Foundation.
