Public hearings set for Ameren Transmission Company of Illinois transmission construction request in Perry County

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — The Missouri Public Service Commission (PSC) has scheduled Local Public Hearings for a request by Ameren Transmission Company of Illinois (ATXI) seeking a certificate of convenience and necessity (CCN) authorizing ATXI to construct, install, own, operate, maintain, and otherwise control transmission investments in Perry County, Missouri.

 

On May 1, 2025, ATXI filed a case with the PSC seeking approval for a CCN authorizing the construction, installation, ownership, operations, maintenance, and to control and manage an approximately four-mile 138 kV transmission line and associated facilities in Perry County.

 

Here is the hearing schedule:

 

August 18 – Virtual Public Hearing starts at noon. See further details below.*

 

August 26 – Altenburg. Trinity Lutheran Church Gym, 57 Church St., Altenburg, Mo.

 

The hearing starts at 6 p.m., beginning with a public information/question-and-answer session followed by the Commission receiving testimony from the public.
