JEFFERSON CITY — A 39-year-old Perryville woman escaped injury in a traffic crash Tuesday morning in St. Louis County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the woman was the driver of a 2019 Ford Focus which was one of the two vehicles involved in the crash on northbound I-55.
The driver of the other vehicle, a 32-year-old woman from Fenton had minor injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital South by the Mehlville Fire Protection District.
The patrol says the crash happened when the 2025 Chevrolet Trax the Fenton woman was driving north, slowed for traffic and was struck by the Focus driven by the Perryville woman.
The crash happened about 7:20 a.m. south of Mattis Road.
The patrol says both women were buckled up.
Both vehicles had moderate damage and were removed by Miners Towing.
