Proposition K.I.D.S. Info

Proposition K.I.D.S. (Keep Improving District Schools) will be an issue on the ballot in Perry County for the August 4 Primary Election. Prop K.I.D.S. will ask voters whether to allow the District to increase its operating levy by $0.2215 per $100 of assessed valuation, allowing the District to borrow $35 million to invest in new facility for Perryville High School.

The D32 Board of Education established a $60 million target budget for a construction project to build a new facility for PHS. Alongside the $35 million from Prop K.I.D.S., the Board plans to fund the remaining $25 million through contributions from insurance, District funds, and FEMA reimbursements.

Visit the District’s Tornado Recovery/Prop K.I.D.S. page at https://www.perryville.k12.mo.us/page/recovery for more information.

Absentee voting is currently open in Perry County! If you won’t be able to vote in person on August 4, you can cast an absentee ballot at City Hall anytime during business hours between now and August 4.

District 32 is hosting two upcoming events for community members to come learn more about Prop K.I.D.S. and the PHS recovery proposal prior to the election.
