Norman “Rusty” R. Galbraith, 61, of Perryville, Missouri passed away Sunday, September 6, 2026 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
He was born August 30, 1965 in East St. Louis, IL to Ronald G. Galbraith and Sharon K. (Boone) Steele. His mother survives in Perryville.
Rusty and Sherry Galbraith were married July 12, 2010 at Branson, MO.
Rusty was a proud member of Quarry and Allied Workers Union Local #830. As a heavy equipment operator for many years with Tower Rock Stone Co in Ste. Genevieve, MO and lastly a member of International Union of Operating Engineers Local #513 as a heavy equipment operator with Central Stone Co.
Rusty loved cooking for his family & friends and enjoyed spending time with his two dogs Suzy & Rose.
Survivors include Two Daughters, Casey (Richard) Degler of Pinckneyville, IL, Morgan Galbraith of Pinckneyville, IL Son, Jared Galbraith of Belleville, IL; Step-Son, Justin Klausing of Perryville, MO; Step-Daughter, Ashley (Shawn) Lohmann of Perryville, MO; Ten grandchildren, Two Brothers, Jesse Steele of Perryville, MO, Ayden Steele of Potosi, MO; Three Sisters, Jodi Jundt of Neosho, MO, Brookelynn Courtway & Ladina Henson both of Potosi, MO; Mother-in-law, Yvonne Wood. Rusty is also survived by best friend and coworker Grant Austin.
He was preceded in death by his Father; Grandmother, Ladina Whitenburg; Granddaughter, Mariah Schwent; Step-Father, Jesse Steele, Father-in-law; Bobby Wood.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, September 14, 2026 and will continue from 8:00 to 10:00 am Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville.
Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville with the Rev. Chad Hollingsworth officiating.
Burial will be at Home Cemetery in Perryville.
