STE. GENEVIEVE – The Art Guild is again hosting the Promenade des Arts, a special exhibit honoring the legacy of the Ste. Genevieve Art Colony.

Three local artists, from three generations of the same family will be featured.
Sister Cassiana Marie (Vogt) is being honored for the first time in the long history of this event, with nine artworks and glimpses into her interesting personal history.
Her nephew, Matthew E. Ziegler has been honored in the past, but nine paintings and a large metal sculpture in this display have not been exhibited anywhere before.
There are also some new paintings by his niece, Dolly Dufour Surkamp, but it’s the dozen handcrafted dolls that will impress even those familiar with her work.
The show will open with a reception on Friday, Oct. 17, beginning at 6:00, at the Sainte Genevieve Art Center & Art Museum at 310 Merchant Street and will run through Nov. 9, being open Thurs. – Sun. from 11-3.
Don’t miss the chance to see this never before shown work.
