JEFFERSON CITY – The Missouri State Highway Patrol has reported the
arrest of 52-year-old Timothy L. Cathey of Perryville at 7:02 p.m.
Monday in Bollinger County on a charge of felony driving while
intoxicated resulting in injury, felony driving while intoxicated as a
persistent offender, failure to driving on the right half of the roadway
resulting in an accident, no insurance and failure to wear seat belt. He
was released.
The charges follow a traffic crash on Highway 72 a mile west of Patton
in which the 51-year-old Perryville man and a 23-year-old Jackson man
were taken to St. Francis Medical Center.
The patrol says the crash involved a 2010 Ford Fusion driven by the
Perryville man and a 1994 Ford Ranger driven by the Jackson man.
The Ford Ranger had extensive damage, and the Ford Fusion was a total
loss. Both were towed by A1.
The crash happened about 6:17 p.m.
The patrol says at 6:15 p.m. just prior to the 6:17 crash, the Fusion
ran off the right side of the roadway, overturned and returned to the
roadway. The Perryville man received minor injuries in that crash.
