JEFFERSON CITY, MO – The Missouri Department of Natural Resources invites the public to a reception to kick off the MoDNR Photo Contest exhibit at 2:30 p.m., Monday, March 9, at the Missouri State Museum in the state Capitol building in Jefferson City. The reception will feature the winning photographs from the 2025 MoDNR Photo Contest. The photographs will be on display in the Resources Hall section of the museum through the end of 2026.
The annual contest invites amateur photographers of all ages to participate. The exhibit includes the winning photographs in the categories of natural resources, unique places and people enjoying Missouri’s outdoors.
MoDNR hosts the photo contest beginning April 1 each year. Amateur photographers of all ages can submit their favorite photos featuring Missouri’s rich natural and cultural resources. The department uses the photo submissions on its website and social media platforms and displays them at the Missouri State Museum and the Missouri State Fair.
