Missouri Humanities announces Perryville is among the winners of Small Town Showcase: Show Me 250

KANSAS CITY, MO–Missouri Humanities (MH) is thrilled to announce the five featured communities for the next season of Small Town Showcase. The five communities to be showcased next year are: Perryville (Perry County), Savannah (Andrew County), Waynesville (Pulaski County), Neosho (Newton County), and Excelsior Springs (Clay/Ray Counties). Congratulations to all the winners!

 

Small Town Showcase is Missouri Humanities’ premiere digital storytelling initiative. Through podcasts and short films, the program highlights the heritage and culture of Missouri’s small towns, sharing their unique stories of resilience, revitalization, and resurgence. This special season of Small Town Showcase (titled “Show Me 250”) will feature stories that highlight Missouri’s contribution to 250 years of American history. Each community will work with Missouri Humanities’ production team on a podcast episode and short film about their town. The films premiere on Missouri Humanities’ free streaming platform, Humanities TV (www.h-tv.org); the podcast is available on all major platforms.
