Michael Stephen O’Leary, 76, of Saint Mary, Missouri passed away Thursday, August 13, 2026 at Mercy Hospital Jefferson.
He was born November 12, 1949 in St. Louis, MO to David G. and Dorothy H. (Stephens) O’Leary.
Michael and Alice O’Leary were married September 21, 1974 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Friedheim.
He served 4 years in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.
Michael was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville.
He was a member of River Hills Eagles Aerie #4034, Elks Lodge #2701
Michael enjoyed bowling, western movies, camping, and was always staying active. He enjoyed helping others anytime he could especially fundraising for the housing of veterans at Marion Cliff Manor.
Survivors include his Wife; Two Sons, Sean M. (Analuisa) O’Leary, Richard H. (Steffanie) O’Leary; Daughter, Dorothy Ann O’Leary; Two Brothers, David Lawrence (Kathy) O’Leary, Robert Emmit (Candace) O’Leary; Two Sister-in-laws, Venita O’Leary, Patricia O’Leary; Brother-in-Law, John Porges; Seven grandchildren, Roslyn, Victoria, Trinity, Sean P., Audry, Connor, Keira; .
He was preceded in death by Father, David G. O’Leary; Mother, Dorothy H. O’Leary; Two Brothers, Dennis O’Leary, Thomas O’Leary; Sister, Elizabeth Porges.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Monday, August 17, 2026 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville.
Funeral Service will be at 6:00 pm Monday, August 17, 2026 at Ford and Young Funeral Home in Perryville with Rev. Joseph Schlie officiating.
Military Honors will be provided by the United States Air Force and American Legion #133.
Memorial contributions may be given to Marion Cliff Manor or the American Lung Association.
