A funeral will be held Saturday, January 31, 2026 for 56-year-old Michael “PJ” Scott of Perryville, Missouri who passed away Thursday, January 22, 2026 at Mercy Southeast Hospital.
He was born January 31, 1969 in Yazoo City, MS to Jeanetta Whitehead.
He and Lori Scott were married October 28, 1996 in Perryville, MO.
He served in the United States Army National Guard.
He was a member of Brazeau Presbyterian Church.
Michael enjoyed BBQ, cooking, fishing, and spending time outdoors. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include two sons: Chris Miller, TJ (Crystal) Cummings and David (Michelle) Ortolaza; two daughters: Audrey Ortolaza, and Nicki Cummings; 10 grandchildren: Kevin (Jazzy) Taylor, Charles Barbeau, Summer Dallas, Misty (Dagan) Stokely, Christian Sanchez, Nicol Sanchez, Abbie Miller, Breanna Miller, Kayleigh Cummings, and Steven Schewe; ten great-grandchildren: Everlee, Alex, Amira, Miles, Lixian, Amara, Jenni, Delilah, Hendrix, and Waylon; and two uncles: Amond and Brady Williams.
He was preceded in death by his mother: Jeanetta Whitehead; step-father: Ocie McDonald; Grandmother: Ocealee Whitehead; and uncle: Allen Whitehead.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville.
