Mercy’s Southeast Missouri Hospital College of Nursing and Health Sciences to host Spring Preview Day

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Prospective students interested in a career in health care are invited to the Spring Preview Day at Mercy’s Southeast Missouri Hospital College of Nursing and Health Sciences.

The annual event slated for 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 14, gives high school students and anyone looking for a new career an opportunity to check out health care fields offered by the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, 2001 William St., Cape Girardeau.

At the open-house style event, visitors can learn about health care careers, tour the college, explore the labs, try interactive demonstrations and meet with faculty, current students and health care professionals. Financial aid teams and resources will also be available. Representatives from Mercy’s recruitment team will also be on hand to talk about future opportunities.

“Preview Day is a chance for future health care professionals to see what makes these careers so meaningful,” said Jeremy Waterbury, admissions counselor at Mercy’s Southeast Missouri Hospital College of Nursing and Health Sciences. “Lives are changed at our college, and I enjoy helping students find the program that fits them best, whether they’re interested in nursing – both LPN and RN – medical laboratory science, surgical technology, radiologic technology or diagnostic medical sonography. We’re committed to transforming health care through excellence in education and compassionate care. Our small class sizes and one-on-one support from faculty and staff set us apart in this region.”
