The Israel D. Newmark Memorial Award, established in 1988 by the Newmark family, is a prestigious accolade given annually to an outstanding employee who has significantly contributed to the quality of patient care at the hospital.

This award celebrates individuals who demonstrate dedication, positivity, exceptional work ethic, and a strong commitment to the hospital’s mission and values.

Chris Yankey, Lab Administrative Assistant, who has worked in the IT Department and Laboratory Department since 2020, was praised by her colleagues for her exemplary service.

Dr. Lowry shared their sentiments, stating, “This employee is incredibly hardworking and dedicated, the type of person who is always willing to help anyone with anything. Even though their job might not always seem glamorous, it’s absolutely essential! This employee embodies the qualities recognized by the Newmark Award: dedication, teamwork, excellence, and service. The contributions have strengthened the department and improved hospital community as a whole. It would be an honor to see this employee receive this well-deserved recognition.”
