Mega Brain Exhibit is coming to Ste. Genevieve County

STE. GENEVEVE –  Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital (SGCMH) is proud to partner with Resources to Recovery to bring the acclaimed Mega Brain exhibit and the “Neuroscience of Addiction” program on Wednesday, July 30, to the Ste. Genevieve Community Center.  As a part of the Resources to Recovery Conference, the exhibit will be open to the public from 1 pm – 5 pm, to explore the larger-than-life giant walk-through inflatable that offers a rare, immersive glimpse into the inner workings of the human brain.

The Mega Brain is an engaging, science-based experience designed to educate youth and families about the effects of drugs and alcohol on the brain – and empower communities with knowledge that can prevent substance abuse before it starts.

“We’re excited to bring this powerful tool to Ste. Genevieve,” said Mary Bleckler, SGCMH community outreach coordinator. “The Mega Brain isn’t just an exhibit – it’s a conversation starter, a catalyst for awareness, and a proven method for sparking meaningful engagement around substance abuse prevention.”

Visitors will have an opportunity to explore how addiction hijacks brain function, alters decision-making, and rewires reward pathways – all in a format that is eye-catching and educational.

The Mega Brain exhibit and the “Neuroscience of Addiction” program is part of an on-going effort to promote health education and mental wellness through innovative, engaging methods.  It’s ideal for students, families and community organizations.
