Kyrah Kreitler named SGHS March Rotary Student of the Month

STE. GENEVIEVE – Kyrah Kreitler is the Ste. Genevieve High School Rotary Student of the Month for March.

 

 

Kyrah is the daughter of Mary Kay and Dennis Kreitler.

 

Kyrah’s scholastic honors include ranking 15th in her graduating class, placing in the top 20 percent of her class, and being named to the A honor roll all four years. She received the following awards and recognitions: the Best in Class award in the Housing, Environment and Design course, the Most Aesthetic Bridge Award at the MoDOT Bridge Competition, and 1st place in the Local Art Show.

 

Kyrah has been a member of the following clubs and organizations: National Art Honor Society (Executive Committee) for three years; Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) for one year; Women of the Word for one year; and A+ member for four years.

 

Kyrah has been a member of the Emeralds dance team for three years (co-caption for two years); volleyball team for two years; and softball team for one year. She has earned All-State Academic recognition as a member of the Emeralds for two years. The dance team placed second in the 2023 State Dance Competition, seventh in the 2024 State Dance Competition, and first in 2023 at the Farmington Regional Competition.

 

In Kyrah’s free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, baking, reading, doing fun, artsy things and going shopping. She also loves to travel, watch movies and spend time outdoors. Kyrah plans to attend the University of Missouri-Kansas City to pursue a degree in architecture.
