Judy Stange

A funeral will be held Saturday, September 13, 2025 for 81-year-old Judy Stange of Sainte Genevieve, Mo. who passed away September 5, 2025.

 

She was born November 7, 1943 to Lonnie Otto and Luella (Ernst) Otto, who both preceded her in death.

 

She married William “Bill” Raymond Stange, Jr. He preceded her in death.

 

She is also survived by a son: Bill (Donna Wigfall) Stange III; a daughter: Julie (Bruce) Terry; sisters: Carole Duncan, Jane (Norman) Stoll, and Doris (Mick) Schwent, a brother: Ron (Sandy) Otto;  granddaughters: Rebecca Woodard and Maddie Terry; grandsons: Luke Terry and Wade Terry, and several nieces and nephews.

 

She was also preceded in death by a brother: Roger (Mary Ann) Otto; four sisters-in-law: Betty (Bob Hull) Stange, Lorraine Stange, Helen “Elaine” (Frank) Sherwood, and Jeannie Stange; and a brother-in-law: Don Duncan.

 

Judy was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who found her greatest joy in the company of her family and friends. She was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, and she enjoyed fishing and watching game shows. She also treasured her outings with her siblings to St. Louis and spending time with her grandchildren.

 

Remembered for her gentle and compassionate nature, Judy extended care to those in need and welcomed all with kindness. She was a talented cook, and her family will especially cherish the memories of her Christmas morning breakfasts, a tradition filled with love and togetherness.

 

Judy’s unconditional love and generosity of spirit touched the lives of all who knew her. Her legacy of warmth, hospitality, and devotion to family and friends will be forever remembered.

 

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 12 noon Saturday, September 13, 2025 at the Basler Funeral Home in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.

 

A funeral for 81-year-old Judy Stange of Sainte Genevieve will be held 12 noon Saturday, September 13, 2025 at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve.

 

Burial will be at Crestlawn Cemetery in Sainte Genevieve.

 

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
