Joseph V. ‘Joe’ Lottes

A funeral will be held Saturday, June 14, 2025 for 84-year-old Joseph V. “Joe” Lottes, Jr. of Perryville, Missouri who peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family Thursday, June 5, 2025 at Independence Care Center in Perryville, MO.

 

He was born August 9, 1940 in Cape Girardeau, MO to Joseph Vincent Sr. and Adelaide Elizabeth (Siebert) Lottes.

 

Joe and Carol A. Hotop were married September 21, 1973 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. She survives him in Perryville.

 

He is also survived by two sons: Brad (Renee) Lottes of Perryville, and Brian (Hannah) Lottes of St. Charles; a daughter: Renee (Cory) Strattman of Perryville; a brother: Robert “Bob” Lottes of Perryville; nine grandchildren:  Brett (Chelsey) Schamburg, Blake Schamburg, Chase Lottes, Adelaide Lottes, Emma Lottes, Levi Lottes, Payton Strattman, Jackson Strattman, and Max Strattman; and two great-granddaughters, Emerie Schamburg, Elyse Schamburg.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

 

He served in the United States Navy.

 

Joe was the owner/manager of Roziers Food Centre in Perryville and Roziers Country Mart in Ste. Genevieve, and Roziers Country Markert in Chester, IL.

 

He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville and the Knights of Columbus Council No. 1263, American Legion Post No. 133, Am Vets Post N. 94 and Perryville Elks Lodge No. 2701.

 

Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Friday, June 13, 2025 and 9 to 9:45 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2025 at the  at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville.

 

A funeral Mass for 84-year-old Joseph V. “Joe” Lottes, Jr. of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2025 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville with the Rev. Joe Geders C.M. Officiating.

 

Entombment will be in Mary Queen of Heaven Mausoleum at Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville.

 

Military Honors will be provided by American Legion Post No. 133 and the US Naval Honors Team.

 

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Schools or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
