John Fabian Karl, 91, of Perryville, formerly of Marion, IL Missouri passed away Thursday, September 11, 2025 at Independence Care Center.
He was born April 4, 1934 in Ste. Genevieve County to William A.and Agnes (Kirchner) Karl.
John and Stella M. Young were married June 8, 1957 at St. Mary of the Barrens. She survives him in Perryville.
He served in the United States Army in the 82nd Airborne and was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville.
Survivors include three sons, Tom (Barbi) Karl, David (Rhonda) Karl, Jim (Tammy) Karl; two daughters, Cindy (Brian) Aubry, Suzy (Chad) Hope; ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Don (Ellen) Karl, Bill Karl; sister, Sylvia (Tony) Suba; daughter-in-law, Paula Karl.
Memorial Mass will be 10:00 am Saturday, September 20, 2025 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville, with Rev. Fred Wandera C.M. officiating.
Burial will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in Jefferson Barracks.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Vincent de Paul School or Valle Catholic School.
