It’s opening day at the Missouri State Fair

SEDALIA – Step On In for Opening Day of the Missouri State Fair, sponsored by the University of Missouri, Thursday, Aug. 7, in Sedalia.

 

 

Special promotions and activities are planned for the day including:

 

  • $7 gate admission all day, age 13+; $2 youth age 6-12
  • Free entertainment on the Kids Stage, sponsored by Your Local McDonald’s, Superior Sleep Stage, Touchstone Energy Stage, and the Budweiser Stage
  • Agriculture, livestock shows, demonstrations and MORE!
  • Mizzou Central will feature hands-on educational activities and exhibits; daily cooking demos at 10 a.m., noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.; Tiger Stripe Ice Cream at Buck’s; Tiger Team Store; 4-H Show-Me Wares and Missouri Soybean featuring Soy Donuts.
  • Opening Day discounts at select concessions and vendors
  • Opening Day Ceremony starting at 11 a.m., south of the Agriculture Building
  • Military Flag Retreat Ceremony honoring Edwin Miller of Moberly, MO– 5:15 p.m. at the flagpole in front of the Historic Administration Building.
  • Opening Day Parade starting at 6 p.m. on Missouri State Fair Blvd.
  • Wynonna Judd – Greatest Hits Tour with The War And Treaty – 7:30 p.m. in the State Fair Grandstand, presented by CFM Insurance; Tickets on sale now. Fireworks display, sponsored by Missouri S&T, and Spectacular Drone Show, sponsored by VISITMO.COM, immediately following the concert.
