Governor Kehoe Announces Appointment to 21st Judicial Circuit

JEFFERSON CITY, MO Today, Governor Mike Kehoe announced a judicial appointment to the 21st Judicial Circuit.

Tom Smith, of Warson Woods, was appointed as Associate Circuit Judge in the 21st Judicial Circuit.

Mr. Smith currently serves as an assistant prosecuting attorney for the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. He previously served as an assistant attorney general for the Missouri Attorney General’s Office. Smith is the co-director of the Washington University School of Law Prosecutors Clinic, a member of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, and the co-director of the Emmanuel Faith in Action Committee. Smith earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies from the University of Missouri and a Juris Doctor from Washington University School of Law. Smith will fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Judge Joseph L. Green.
