Glastetter joins SEMO Food Bank board of directors

SIKESTON, Mo. – Elizabeth Glastetter, Director of Cancer Services with Saint Francis Healthcare System, has been named to Southeast Missouri Food Bank’s board of directors.

“Liz will be a tremendous asset to our board and the food bank,” said Joey Keys, CEO of SEMO Food Bank. “Unfortunately, we know that lack of access to nutritious food impacts an individuals overall health. Liz’s years of experience in healthcare, will bring valuable knowledge as we seek to address these issues.”

Glastetter, who began her career in healthcare as a registered nurse, said she and her team often encounter patients and families who are food insecure.

“As a Saint Francis employee, I have had the opportunity to work side by side with the food bank and truly support its mission,” Glastetter said. “As a life-long resident of southeast Missouri, I see the need for this resource and want to do my part to see it grow and thrive.”


Glastetter also serves as president of the Kelso C-7 Board of Education and is a member of the Friends of Saint Francis board.

SEMO Food Bank serves families, children, veterans and seniors through a network of 140 partner agencies and direct-service programs across a 16-county service area. Southeast Missouri has some of the highest rates of hunger in Missouri, with 1 in 6 individuals, 1 in 4 children and 1 in 8 seniors living in homes that are food insecure. The five most food-insecure counties in the state are in southeast Missouri.
