A funeral will be held Friday, October 3, 2025 for 92-year-old Flora “Florie” E. Oberndorfer of Perryville, Mo. who passed away Monday, September 22, 2025 at Independence Care Center.
She was born May 11, 1933 in Wittenburg, Mo. to Albert and Amanda (Stueve) Leimbach.
Florie and Charles Oberndorfer were married August 24, 1985 at Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna, MO. He preceded her on October 24, 2015.
She was a cook at West End Tavern for many years. She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church, LWML, and Alter Guild.
Florie enjoyed planting flowers, crocheting and taking care of her family.
Survivors include daughter, Susan (Tim) Turner; son, Michael (Victoria) Schuessler; two step-sons, Michael (Tina) Obendorfer, Jeffery (Angel) Obendorfer; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Ralph Schuessler; second husband, Charles Oberndorfer; two brothers, Ellis Leimbach, Allen Leimbach; two sisters, Hildegard Schilling, and Wilma Mueller.
Visitation will be from 8:30 am to 9:50 am on Friday, October 3, 2025 at Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna.
A funeral for 92-year-old Flora “Florie” E. Oberndorfer of Perryville, Mo. will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, October 3, 2025 at the Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna with the Rev. Rod Benkendorf officiating.
Burial will be at Concordia Lutheran Cemetery in Frohna.
