Farmington man seriously injured in Route F crash Friday

JEFFERSON CITY – A 47-year-old Farmington man was seriously injured in a traffic crash Friday night on Route F in Ste. Genevieve County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the man was airlifted to St. Louis University Hospital by Air Evac 80. The patrol says the driver was unrestrained.

The patrol says the crash happened about 10:30 p.m. when the northbound 2014 Hyundai Elantra the man was driving failed to negotiate a curve to the left, traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a mailbox, struck a culvert and overturned north of Coffman Road.

The Elantra received extensive damage and was towed by Boyd’s Towing.

The patrol didn’t identify the driver in the accident report, but an MSHP arrest report states 47-year-old Kory A. Bonacker of Farmington was cited for DWI at 11:10 p.m. Friday after being taken to St. Louis University Hospital.
