Ellis “Wayne” Shrum, 73, of Lixville, Missouri passed away Sunday, August 23, 2026 at the Ratliff Care Center in Cape Girardeau, MO.
He was born December 27, 1952 in Cape Girardeau, MO to Ellis E. and Alice M. (McClure) Shrum.
Wayne and Judy Wills were married on May 27, 1972 at Crossroads Methodist Church.
He served 23 years in the United States Air Force and the United States Army National Guard.
Wayne worked as a truck driver.
He was a member of Crossroads Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Judy; daughter, Amy (Dave) Thurston; brother, Randy (Bobbi) Shrum; sister, Laura (Terry) Sanders; grandchild, Annabelle Lee Thurston and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sandra Shrum; infant children, Jennifer & Tammey Shrum.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday, August 28, 2026 at Crossroads Methodist Church in Sedgewickville.
Funeral Service will be at 12:00 pm Friday, August 28, 2026 at Crossroads Methodist Church with Rev. Caleb Mueller officiating.
Burial will be at Crossroads Methodist Cemetery in Sedgewickville.
Military Honors will be provided by the Delta Team and American Legion Post #133.
Memorial contributions may be given to Crossroads Methodist Church.
