Elizabeth Black, 88, of Perryville, Missouri peacefully passed away surrounded by family and friends, Friday, October 31, 2025 at Stockhoff Nursing Home in Fredericktown, MO.
She was born May 25, 1937 in Chester, IL to David and Mildred (Allison) Hawthorne.
Elizabeth was a secretary at Gilster Mary Lee. She was a member of The Eastern Stars. She loved to play bingo, knit, enjoyed her pets, and loved spending time with family.
Survivors include daughter, Anna Berkbuegler.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Dr. James Hawthorne.
Visitation will be from 8:00 am to 10:00 am on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville.
Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville with Rev. Bryan Schaefer officiating.
Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery at a later date.
