STE. GENEVIEVE — Eleanor McKlin has been named the Elks Student of the Month for September from Ste. Genevieve High School.
Eleanor is the daughter of Athena and Mark McKlin.
Eleanor’s scholastic honors include: being ranked No. 1 in her graduating class; being in the Top 10 Percent of her class; and earning the following class awards: Algebra II, Pre-Calc, Trigonometry, Physiology and Anatomy, Creative Writing, Mythology, Video Production, College Prep American Government, College Prep English II, College Prep English III, Film Composition and Literature, French II, French III, and Psychology.
Eleanor has been involved in a number of teams, clubs and organizations, including: SGHS Girls Golf Team, National Honor Society (NHS Officer), FRIENDS, Women of the World (Officer), French Honor Society, Math Team, and Theatre Club.
Eleanor is also a Class Officer.
Eleanor earned Class 2 state qualifier honors in girls’ golf and was named to the all-district team. She also received the team’s Most Valuable Player award and a varsity letter.
Eleanor is employed at Stella and Me Cafe. In her free time and she enjoys playing the piano, guitar, and drums, as well as reading and listening to music.
She plans to attend Missouri State University.
