Dorothy C. Wingerter, 92, of Perryville, Missouri passed away Friday, July 24, 2026 at Mercy Perry Hospital.
She was born April 8, 1934 in Oak Ridge, MO to John and Bertha (Trapp) Balsman.
Dorothy and Merlin “Curly” Wingerter were married May 12, 1956. He preceded her in death on November 24, 2008.
She worked for Gilster Mary Lee for many years. Dorothy loved spending time with her family.
She was a member of St. Maurus Catholic Church.
Survivors include two sons, Ricky (Jean) Wingerter, John Wingerter; daughter, Tammy (Tim) Tarrillion; brother, Fred Balsman; sister, Ida (Kenny) Buerck; nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Merlin “Curly” Wingerter; one son, Brian Wingerter, one brother, Herman Balsman and three grandchildren, Eric, Timothy & Joshua.
Visitation will be from 6:30 am to 9:50 am on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at St. Maurus Church Hall in Biehle, MO. The Rosary will be recited at 8:30 am.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle with Rev. Michael Benz officiating.
Burial will be at St. Maurus Catholic Cemetery in Biehle.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Maurus Cemetery.
