A funeral will be held Monday, Feb. 2, 2026 for 95-year-old Dorothy A. Renner, of Chester, Illinois, who passed away at 4:53 pm, Sunday, January 25 2026 at Independence Care Center, Perryville, Missouri.
She was born December 18, 1930 in Belgique, Mo. to Benjamin and Lillian (nee Griffard) Moll who both preceded her in death.
Dorothy married Aloysius Vallie Renner on June 23, 1951 in Belgique, Missouri; he preceded her in death on December 2, 2008.
She is survived by four sons: David Renner of Greenwood, Ark., Ronald Renner of Columbia, IL
Steve (Tammy) Renner of Chester, IL and Dean (Ruth) of Renner Chester, IL; six siblings: Thelma Neels, John Moll, June Salger, Anna Weibrecht, Bonnie Ehlers and Patricia Heuman; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren, and seven step great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: four siblings: Hazel Bodenschatz, Robert Moll, Donald Moll and Otto Moll, a daughter-in-law: Alane Renner and a grandson-in-law: John Payton.
She had worked at Gilster Mary-Lee Corporation for 30 years until her retirement.
Dorothy was a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in Chester.
She enjoyed reading, quilting and spending time with her family.
Visitation: 9-11 a.m. Monday at the Pechacek Funeral Homes, Chester.
A funeral service for 95-year-old Dorothy A. Renner, of Chester will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 2, 2026 at the Pechacek Funeral Homes in Chester, Illinois. Father Steven Poole will officiate.
Interment will be in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Chester, Illinois.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church or to St. Mary’s Catholic School.
