Donald L. Wibbenmeyer

Donald L. Wibbenmeyer, 96, of Perryville, Missouri passed away Sunday, November 9, 2025 at Independence Care Center in Perryville, MO.

He was born April 9, 1929 in Perryville, MO to Stanislaus G.”Stonie” and Beulah E. “Bea” (Chappius) Wibbenmeyer.

Don and Dellora L.Stark were married on November 9, 1951 in Fort Tilden, NY while Don was serving 2 years in the United States Army.

He was the Owner/Operator of Stonies Sausage Shop retiring in 1987. He was an avid musician, playing trumpet for the Ste. Genevieve Municipal Band, Harvey Mueller Band and the Jack Trapp Orchestra. Over the years he and his wife taught dancing lessons to many couples. His favorite pastime after his retirement was dancing, playing cards, woodworking and crossword puzzles.

He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville, Knights of Columbus Council #1263, and American Legion Post #133. He was a faithful Adorer of the Blessed Sacrament.

Survivors include three daughters, Brenda (Rick) Tisher, Rhonda (Dave) Meyr, Jane Wibbenmeyer; four sons, Roger (Barb) Wibbenmeyer, Bruce (Connie) Wibbenmeyer, Brian (Patti) Wibbenmeyer, Chris (Kim) Wibbenmeyer; three sisters, Barbara Ernst, Alice (Bill) Wichern, Deb (Jim) Hoffman; grandchildren, 20 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; 7 great great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Myra Gremanud, Mary Ochs, Carol Wibbenmeyer; brother, Alan Wibbenmeyer; daughter, Patricia Wibbenmeyer; son-in-law, Paul Taylor, Sr.; grandson, Jonathan Taylor; infant great-granddaughter, Jaci Meyr.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Perryville and will continue from 9:00 am to 9:50 am on Friday, November 14, 2025 at the church.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am Friday, November 14, 2025 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville with Rev. Joe Geders officiating.

Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville.

Military Honors will be provided by American Legion Post #133 and Delta Team.

Memorial contributions may be given to Journey Hospice.
