A funeral will be held Monday, June 1, 2026 for 60-year-old Donald Allen McCormick of Chester, Illinois, who passed away at 6:31 pm, Saturday, May 23, 2026 at his residence.
He was born July 29, 1965 in Chester, Illinois to the late Donald Ray and Irene June (nee Gretzmacher) McCormick.
Donald was injured in a four wheeler accident at 30 and due to a brain injury was unable to work.
He was baptized at Peace Lutheran Church in Chester.
Donald loved classic rock music and cars.
Survivors: two children: Tracy (McCormick) Sloan and Jessie McCormick; a grandson: Nash Sloan; two sisters: Debra Gretzmacher and Katherine (Charles) Hilton; three nieces: Yvonne (Shawn) Seymour, Ashley Tucker and Shauna Hilton; two nephews: Ronald Tucker and Austin McCormick; four great nieces: Adelina Hernandez, Breanne Stoker, Alyvia Grau and Alyssa Seymour; a great nephew: Bryson Grau; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Edith and Herbert McCormick and Dorothy Niemeyer, his parents and a brother: Steven McCormick.
Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Monday at the Pechacek Funeral Home in Chester.
A funeral for 60-year-old Donald Allen McCormick of Chester, Illinois, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 1, 2026 at the Pechacek Funeral Homes, Chester, Illinois. Pastor Tony Glaser, officiating.
Interment in the Ebenezer Cemetery, Rockwood, Illinois.
