CHESTER– The new Don Welge Memorial Bridge opened to two-way traffic Monday afternoon.
The bridge had been opened to one-way traffic southbound since a ribbon-cutting ceremony July 11.
Officials say the old Chester Bridge will be destroyed using explosives.
A date for that event has not been released.
The new bridge will be closed temporarily when the blast is scheduled.
