District 32 voters reject Prop. KIDS proposal

PERRYVILLE – Perry County School District No. 32 voters said “no” to the
Proposition KIDS proposal on the April 7 ballot.

Perry County’s voters turned out at a potential record setting 36.56
percent for an April Municipal Election with 4,961 out of a total of
13,570 registered voters.

The Prop Kids vote was 2,599 no to 2,098 yes, 55.35 to 44.57 percent.

Perry County voters approved a property tax freeze for seniors 3,607 yes
to 1,292 no, 73.63 to 26.37 percent.

For Perry County Memorial Hospital Trustee: Pat Naeger had 2,362 votes
to Brenda Thurm Hopfer’s 2,226; 51.15 to 48.2 percent.

For three seats on the Perry County School District No. 32 Board of
Education: (three-year term) Caleb Streiler had 3,031 Nancy Voelker,
2,785; Dan Querry had 2,404; and a fourth candidate: Linda Buerck had
2,245 votes.

For one seat on the Perry County School District No. 32 Board of
Education (one year term): Terry Wichern, 2,606. Tara (Motley) Johnson
had 1,282.

Perryville Mayor: Larry Riney, 1,591.

Perryville Ward One Alderman: Deanna Kline, 580

Perryville Ward Two Alderman: Curt Buerck, 417.

Perryville Ward Three Alderman Clinton Rice, 535.

Perryville City Marshal: Dustin M. Miller, 848,  Jeri Cain 588, Ryan
Thieret 445.
